RENUC.DE
Online shop for watches and jewellery — from the first draft to automated day-to-day operations.
The challenge
RENUC was a one-person business. Purchasing, shop, shipping, bookkeeping and advertising sat on the same desk — and several suppliers sent their prices and stock levels each in their own CSV format.
Maintained by hand that would have taken all day. Every hour spent copying and pasting was an hour not spent on the range or on marketing. So everything repetitive had to run without me.
The solution
A shop that largely maintains itself: storefront in Shopify, everything repetitive in Python and PowerShell, plus Google Analytics, Google Ads, AdSense and Meta Ads for visibility, with technical SEO underneath.
Storefront with its own code
I adapted the Shopify theme and extended it with my own Liquid and JavaScript building blocks — filters, product presentation and checkout details the stock theme did not offer.
Orders without a manual step
Python services fetch new orders through the Shopify API, hand them to each supplier in the format they expect and write tracking numbers back into the shop automatically.
A nightly data pipeline
On my own VPS running Windows Server 2016, Python and PowerShell jobs read supplier CSVs, reconcile prices and stock, deactivate sold-out items and create new ones. By morning the shop is correct.
